Every single member of our team couldn’t be more ready to care for our wonderful patients like you and your entire family. We want you to know that everyone at Dental Designs by Alisa Reed (at both our Woodlands and Panther Creek locations) has been working tirelessly to ensure that your health and safety are always a top priority. We take every precautionary measure, and every step to make sure you and your family feel safe and comfortable during your visits with us.

Pre-screening Measures
For Added Protection

When we call to confirm your appointment, usually the day before you’re scheduled to visit, one of our friendly team members will ask you some COVID-19 pre-screening questions. We’ll be asking about:

  • Your temperature and feverish conditions
  • The presence of flu-like symptoms in your household
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Travels to high-impact areas
  • Exposure to other people and risk factors

When you come to the office on the day of your scheduled visit, we’ll be revisiting these questions for a review with you before your appointment can begin.

After you arrive in the parking lot, we ask that you please remain inside your vehicle and call us, so we know you’ve arrived. We’ll contact you shortly to get your appointment underway. Before heading to your treatment, you’ll receive a special COVID-19 patient acknowledgment of treatment document to sign. One of our team members will check your temperature and blood oxygen reading with a special pulse oximeter.

Sterilization and
Disinfection Protocols

At Dental Designs by Alisa Reed, we’ve always taken extreme care to follow and go above and beyond the guidelines and requirements from the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). One new step you’ll notice at the office is that we’re having all patients rinse with a whitening mouthwash prior to treatment. The rinse contains hydrogen peroxide, which can effectively kill COVID-19 or coronavirus.

Whenever we can, we’ll be using disposable items. Our autoclave will be working non-stop to sterilize all of our dental instruments by using steam to eliminate bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. We’ll also be using hypochlorous water in aerosol form to disinfect the room after treatment. All surfaces are thoroughly wiped with Optim1, containing an accelerated form of hydrogen peroxide for immediate, powerful disinfection. Our team will rely on plastic coverings for additional barriers.

About Our Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE)

To help stop the threat of any viral transmission, we’re now using American Society for Testing and Materials Level 3 masks to help protect us from dangerous droplets in the air. Our team is also equipped with KN95 masks to help keep us protected from free-floating, viral particles. You might also see us wearing face shields, goggles, hospital gowns, jackets, and hair coverings when necessary. All of our employees are now required to change in and out of their scrubs and jackets in the office.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during these challenging times. As rules and regulations continue to evolve, please know we may have to make further changes to accommodate you and changing guidelines. Please know that we’re allowing for additional time in between patient appointments (as needed) to ensure complete sterilization and disinfection between every patient appointment.
